About claywilmor
I recently decided to start constructing a family tree of just my ancestors. Families are LARGE, and at the moment the idea of trying to document all of the siblings is overwhelming. I am very happy to have found this website. It is an extremely helpful tool which greatly facilitates the entire process.

I cannot claim to know just how much of this information is accurate. It has been obtained mostly from the internet. It is obvious to me now how poorly cited, plagiarized, and regurgitated most genealogy information on the internet actually is. There are definitely many glaring discrepancies in data between sources of the older records. The best examples of these I have found are in the wildly varying stories (myths) about the Moytoys, tales about people I believe are some of my Cherokee ancestors.

I have compared many sources and have tried to portray the most accurate picture as so far I have found it to be. Before starting this project I knew virtually nothing of my lineage. I have now only just begun my voyage into the world of genealogy. The stories I have read are interesting, whether they be true or untrue. Either way, compiling this information is absolutley fascinating and addicting; it is a puzzle which can never quite fully be solved.

One thing is certain: We are here. How we came to be here is one of the greatest mysteries of all.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
